Liberia is the first city in Latin America to receive a prestigious flight

December 16, 2018 by Staff News Writer

Liberia is the first Latin American city to receive a prestigious JetBlue flight with Mint service, a weekly connection for high season between Liberia and New York (JFK).

The flight arrived at the International Airport Daniel Oduber Quirós and although this connection already existed, the flight modality is one of the new arrivals in Liberia, as it is one of the most exclusive at the international level.

In addition, JetBlue will be the only airline that will operate flights with fully-reclining seats between Costa Rica and the United States.

The flight will arrive in Liberia every Saturday at 2:49 p.m. during high season with the aim of giving premium attention to all incoming and outgoing tourists who travel from the Big Apple.

The Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT) said that the MINT plane offers travelers more comfort and thus opens up new possibilities to attract tourists to Guanacaste. This is the materialization of the negotiations carried out for the benefit of Costa Rica, a personalized service to meet the needs of modern passengers that brings us closer to our main source of tourists market, a potential market of 24 million people.

Approximately three thousand people are expected to arrive in Guanacaste with the new flight period.
