María Pepa Show is closed due to noise pollution

January 3, 2017 by Staff News Writer

María Pepa show, known as the “horrific show”, is closed in the fairground of Zapote as punishment for noise pollution.

According to Guillermo Flores, director of the Central-South Region of the Ministry of Health, the noise pollution plan, presented by those responsible for the attraction, does not convince authorities and require further changes.

The show presents a young woman in swimsuit that greets the public, but minutes later she becomes a monkey and scares people.

Neighbors around the fairgrounds complained to the Ministry about the loud noise coming out of that area.

When making measurements, it was determined that the noise generated by the attraction exceeded the allowed standards and they made a note of prevention, however, it continued to operate with these problems.
