Border police from the Ministry of Public Security (MSP) discovered a plant center and a marijuana plantation in Venecia de Osa.

There were 243 marijuana plants that were ready to be cut and illegally sold. In addition, there were 243 more plants, 34 of which were in drying process. According to the Ministry of Security, most of the plants were growing under a 120 meter square plastic frame. They were being fertilized, watered and pruned to ensure their rapid growth.

Near the plantation, police forces found a suspicios armed man named Fernando. Police confiscated his weapon since he didn’t have a gun permit, and ordered to burn the plantation, the plant center and even the plastic frame. This year, the MSP has found 1.126.000 marijuana plants in the country.
