Mario Redondo will launch presidential candidacy on July 29th

July 10, 2017 by Staff News Writer

On July 29th, the National Assembly of the Christian Democrat Alliance (ADC) will ratify legislator Mario Redondo as its presidential candidate for the elections of February 4th, 2018.

The legislator, who represents the province of Cartago, said the confirmation of his candidacy will be held from 2 p.m. at a session of the national assembly members, in San José.

Redondo said that same day the ADC will be registered as a national party, a decision that was recently communicated by the Supreme Election Tribunal (TSE).

The legislator explained that the grouping has already culminated the cantonal, provincial and national assemblies.

We want a campaign of ideas and solutions,”

said Redondo.

He added that the proposal is based on three pillars: 1) Economic growth to generate more and better jobs, 2) social solidarity to reduce poverty and inequality, and 3) high values to fight corruption and waste of public resources.
