Media around the world informed about the crocodile attack

July 25, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Media worldwide informed about the crocodile attack that took place in Tamarindo beach, Guanacaste.

Jonathan Arthur Betker suffered the amputation of part of his right leg after being aggressively bitten by the animal while surfing with some friends.

Newspapers like The Guardian, The Telegraph or USA Today reported that Betker was attacked after being swept away by a wave.

The victim suffered bites on other parts of his body. He lost a lot of blood and he needed a transfusion to bear the operation that took almost two hours.

ABC and NBC, American networks, also informed about what happened in Guanacaste beach.

Betker was quickly aided by several surf instructors who were at the place.

After the attack, security forces evacuated the beach for several minutes in order to avoid similar incidents.
