In the 50 mega-operations carried out by the Ministry of Public Security between May 2018 and May 2019, 2,160 people were arrested.
The figured was offered on Tuesday by the Security Minister, Michael Soto, after the session of the Governing Council. He also explained that 233 firearms were confiscated as a result of these operations.
In addition, 85 motorcycles involved in crimes were confiscated.
As far as drugs are concerned, 48 kilos of marijuana, 1.5 kilos of cocaine and 2.3 kilos of crack were seized by authorities.
