Ministry of Security joins transparency network

June 19, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The Ministry of Public Security signed the letter of commitment to citizenship before the Office of the Ombudsman to become part of the Inter-Agency Transparency Network that fights against corruption.

The Deputy Minister of Public Security, Bernardita Marín Salazar, stated that this is the 71st institution to join this agreement.

As part of this network, we will be working to keep the citizens informed so they know more about the work we do, the resources we have and how they are distributed,”

said Marín.

The main commitments that are acquired in the processes of transparency before the citizenship will be visible on the website, because the institution improved the access to relevant information which can be consulted by any citizen.

People can find free access to guidelines, reports, procurement plans, budget implementation plans and laws. Therefore, citizens will be informed and thus corroborate the administrative and public resources processes administered by the Ministry, in order to fight corruption.
