Money and drugs were found in a farm in Bagaces of Guanacaste

November 7, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Authorities from the Ministry of Public Security managed to seize 432 kilograms of cocaine, as well as almost one million dollars that were within 4 sacks. The discovery was made in a clandestine airstrip located on a farm in Bagaces of Guanacaste.

Public officials from Bagaces Force received information of an aircraft flying over the area and they tracked it. They went to a farm and they saw a plane leaving on November 5th.

The police found a clandestine runway on that farm, that’s why they were admitted and observed two vehicles, one of which contained several packages of what could be drugs.

They worked with agents from the Drug Control Police (PCD) who went to the site. After the investigation, they found the drugs and the money.

The packages of drugs had the logo with the words “Zebi”, a yellow happy face and other tape with “RX-1” on it. Now, police authorities are looking for suspects.
