MOPT will auction 48 vehicles from its light fleet in August

July 28, 2016 by Staff News Writer

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT) will auction 48 vehicles from its light fleet in August and bidders can participate in the electronic auction from July, 28th.

Manuel Arce, deputy managing director of the entity, explained that the auction will take place from 8:00 a.m. on August 17th until noon on August 18th.

These auctions are part of the Plan of Institutional Environmental Management and allow the ministry to reclaim spaces in their courtyards, recover state resources and certainly contribute to the destruction of potential breeding grounds for the mosquito that transmits diseases such as dengue and Zika,”

said Arce.

23 of the vehicles can be repaired and re-registered, and 25 can be valued by their weight in scrap metal. The latter will have a base price of 2,808,000 colones.

All the vehicles are divided in 3 different groups located in the workshop and in the parking lot of MOPT’s headquarters, near Plaza Víquez, as well as in the headquarters of Paso Ancho.

Those wishing to participate in the auction can find the information with all the conditions in www.mopt.go.cr.

Only those who are registered in the Register of Providers of the Integrated Public Procurement System (SICOP) will be allowed to participate.

If you are not registered, you can do so online through the site www.sicop.go.cr.
