Nate took power away in 85 area of the country

October 5, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The National Power and Light Company (CNFL) announced that there are 85 communities without power due to the effects caused by the rains that Tropical Storm Nate is generating in Costa Rican territory.

Areas of San José, Alajuela and Heredia have no power service at the moment, although the company’s crews are already taking care of the incidents to solve this as soon as possible.

The places without power are located in the following areas:
Cascajal
Piedades de Santa Ana
Santa Ana
Aserrí
La Guácima
Santa Bárbara
San Joaquin de Flores
Rancho Redondo
Ciudad Colón
Guadelupe
Alajuelita
San Rafael Abajo
In addition, the company announced that circuits have been introduced in the Matinilla sector, so the Wind Farm in the area doesn’t have any power either.
