June 10, 2019 by Staff News Writer

The natural beauties of the country are recognized all over the world. Now, the National Geographic magazine highlights the wonders of Costa Rica, in the celebration of the World Day of the Oceans.

In a video of just over three minutes, NatGeo invites you to celebrate this important day with the spectacular images captured in the waters of the Osa Peninsula.

The University of Costa Rica and Osa Conservation participated in the production.

Costa Rica is 92% marine territory, of which 2.7% corresponds to marine protected areas, which is why actions to reverse the deterioration of the health of the oceans with concrete solutions are essential.
