National Budget 2017 amounts to 9 billion colones

September 2, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Authorities from the Ministry of Finance broke the tradition of delivering the National budget for the period 2017 and declined to give details to the Congress. Minister Helio Fallas just declared that the Budget is 9 billion colones and he reported that all further information would be released at the headquarters.

Congresswoman Rosibel Ramos, from Partido Unión Social Cristiana (PUSC) stated that in previous years, the Treasury had always made a presentation of the budget details and she added that she doesn´t know why or what the strategy behind this decision is.
