Nicaraguan media states Costa Rica cancels visa of Sandinista collaborators

August 14, 2018 by Staff News Writer

In the midst of the political crisis, the site El Informe Nicaragua published an article stating that Costa Rica has revoked the visa to different Nicaraguan officials for presumed collaboration with the Sandinista revolution.

In the content of the news, a list is included with the names of the persons to whom the visa was -allegedly- revoked according to the site, including ministers, legislators, pastors, and mayors of Nicaragua.

However, the Foreign Ministry of Costa Rica said that the country is not revoking visas for Nicaraguan officials.
