No power in La Uruca on Friday due to service improvements

March 15, 2019 by Staff News Writer

On Friday, the National Power and Light Company (CNFL) will suspend the power service near the Pozuelo factory, as part of improvements in the service.

The intervention will take place between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

The works will seek to make a voltage conversion, passing the circuit from 13.8 kV to 34.5 kV, which will allow a greater transfer of energy in the circuits involved. With these interventions they will benefit residents of Tibás, La Uruca, Santo Domingo, Santa Rosa and La Valencia in Heredia.

It is estimated that there will be about 200 subscribers who will be affected by the suspension of the service.

The CNFL also warned that areas near this sector could experience slight disturbances or momentary power cuts.
