Residents of Palmares may discard the “non-traditional junk”.

This will be the third and last non-traditional waste campaign of the year. It will take place during the first two weeks of December. The goal is to decrease mosquito breeding sites. It also aims to avoid that the residues end up in vacant lots, streets or ravines in Alajuela.

Among the items that will be collected by the Municipality of Palmares there are: old furniture, appliances (white line), glass, mattresses, toys, scrap, jars, tires and anything that can store water.

On December 6th, the activity will take place in Buenos Aires; on December 7th, it will be organized in Palmares and on Demember 9th, it will take place in the district of Esquipulas.

During the second week, on December 13 the collection will be in Zaragoza; on December 14th in Santiago and Candelaria and it will finish on December 16th in La Granja.
