Normal ferry service to Playa Naranjo to resume on Tuesday

October 8, 2018 by Staff News Writer

The transportation of people and vehicles service, provided between Puntarenas and Playa Naranjo, will resume on Tuesday with the usual schedules.

The first trip leaving Puntarenas will be at 6:30 a.m., and from Playa Naranjo, the first departure will be at 8 a.m., as usual.

The authorities explained that the service will resume thanks to an alternate route for light vehicles, while the metal bridge is built on route 21, in Cabo Blanco de Jicaral, which will take about a week.

It’s important to remember that last week’s rains caused damages on the roads, so those who move their vehicles on the ferry will be able to travel through the area as long as the roads are in good conditions, and taking into account that there is machinery working.

The service, both to Playa Naranjo and Paquera, had been suspended since Friday, as a result of heavy rains that caused road closures, persisting to this day in some points.
