Now you can cycle to the INS

March 6, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Going to the National Insurance Institute (INS) by bike is possible since Saturday, after two parking spaces for bicycles were open near the main entrance of the institute, opposite Spain Park, which can be used by customers and employees.

In addition, during the weekend, people visiting the park may also use the parking spaces.

These actions are part of the practices implemented to try and mitigate the impacts of the operations of the institution. This action seeks to encourage the use of alternative means of transport with a lower impact on the environment,”

said Lucía Fernández, general manager of INS.

It is expected that similar structures will be installed in other offices of the institute during the course of this year, which could benefit more than 300 people.

The idea followed a bike ride held this Saturday in downtown San José, organized by ChepeCletas and attended by 66 people.
