Óscar López wants to rule the Legislative Assembly

April 26, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Legislator Óscar López, from Partido Accesibilidad sin Exclusión (PASE) (PASE), made official his candidacy for the Presidency of the Legislative Assembly for the last year.

The legislator said that if elected on May 1st, he pledges not to obstruct the progress of any bills, even if he does not agree with them.

He added that the initiatives that promote parliamentary fractions would be promoted by the Presidency of the Congress and that they could be fully processed.

So far, only López and legislator Ottón Solís, from Partido Acción ciudadana(PAC), have announced their aspirations to preside over the First Power of the Republic.
