Outrageous! Fourth crash against train

March 16, 2017 by Staff News Writer

This can only happen in Costa Rica. On Wednesday afternoon, four vehicles crashed against the train on its way to Belén.

The fourth time it happened near a market in Barrio Cuba, where a truck hit the locomotive, losing a door as a result of the impact.

Heavy traffic was reported in the sector.

By noon, three collisions with the railroad had already occurred. The first was in the vicinity of Plaza González Víquez, then near the Atlantic station and then at the brewery of Costa Rica.

In addition, due to a mechanical failure, the passengers of the train from Heredia to Alajuela suffered delays while a locomotive was towing another train on Wednesday morning.
