Packages of cocaine were found at the beach

Public Force officers seized a shipment of cocaine that was lying on a beach in Puerto Jiménez in Golfito.

A villager alerted about several suspicious packages that were on the beach, and after an inspection, it was determined that the cocaine packs were washed up on the beach, as explained by the Press Office of the Ministry of Security (MSP).

After coordinating with the Drug Control Police (PCD), MSP confirmed that there were 48 kilos of cocaine. There were not detainees.

Other cases

In Buenos Aires, Puntarenas, officers from the security forces arrested a motorcyclist surnamed Hurtado, who was carrying a small box of compressed marijuana.

In a different operation, authorities seized 19 grams of marijuana and 40 marijuana buds.
