Palomo’s condition, a dog that was attacked on Sunday with a machete in Cartago, continues being critical.

The animal is under strict medical supervision at a veterinary clinic, where he was taken after being found by local residents.

Some people have made donations, but it is not enough.

Palomo now requires a thermal blanket, which costs ₡ 10,000, to keep its temperature stable.

It is still unknown who attacked him.
