People got tired and fixed bump in the road by themselves

December 19, 2016 by Staff News Writer

A 1.20-meter long, 70-centimeter wide and 40-centimeter deep bump in the road caused several traffic accidents, many flat tires and got to the nerves of the residents of San Rafael de Montes de Oca.

After receiving no response from the Municipality or the CONAVI, the neighbors made the decision to repair it themselves. They gathered on Sunday to cover the huge hole.

Something happened every night and so we decided to take actions,”

said Humberto Pineda, one of the locals.

Pineda claims that they used 450 kilos of cement and stones to fix the bump. The money came from their pockets, because they were already tired of compromising their integrity.
