Peri-Safari takes you to the bread route this Saturday

June 14, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The Peri-Safari returns this Saturday, June 17th, to try to get citizens to know the other faces of the capital. This time the tour is a tempting invitation for bread lovers.

The group ChepeCletas and the Peri-Safari joined to create the Route of the Pan-Tour of Artisan Bakeries. The bus tour will offer a different way to enjoy the weekend, to visit new places, meet new people and even celebrate Father’s Day.

Among the places to visit are: Aliñao Café in Los Yoses, a cafeteria and bakery specialized in Danish pastry; Mocapan in La Unión, a German bakery; and YummyLab, in Escalante, where in addition to bread they have many other attractions.

Fortunately, in the last few years a lot of small bakeries have started to operate, each with its own focus. About a year ago, we had done a similar tour and we realized that there is a lot of interest from people. I think they are worth highlighting because they are doing a very interesting job,”

said Roberto Guzmán, a spokesman for ChepeCletas.

This tour will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday and will leave the Monument to Juan Mora Fernández, in front of the National Theater, next to Las Arcadas. The registration fee is ¢5 thousand per adult, which includes tastings, and is paid in cash the same day of the event.

The requirements are: wearing comfortable clothing and sunscreen, bringing an umbrella in case of rain and good attitude. It is necessary to book your space via email to the address info@chepecletas.com and send a WhatsApp message to 8849-8316.

Guzmán explained that it is an activity for the whole family, but it is not recommended for celiac people.
