Plane to support Argentine submarine search landed in Costa Rica

Between Sunday and Monday, two Galaxy C 5 aircraft belonging to the United States Air Force landed at the Juan Santamaría International Airport.

They come from California and will arrive in Argentina to provide support in the search for the missing submarine. The stay in national territory so that the crew rests the corresponding eight hours.

According to the Operations Direction of Aeris Costa Rica, the first ship arrived this Sunday at 10:36 a.m. with 17 crew members and left at 2:00 a.m. this Monday.

Today at 8:30 am, the second plane with 10 crew landed that will take off at 1:00 am this Tuesday,”

said the entity on Monday.

According to international media, authorities are working against the clock to locate the submarine with 44 crew members that got lost five days ago in the middle of a storm in the South Atlantic.
