Police intervened cockpit and saved 92 roosters

The Public Force intervened a cockpit in Batán de Limón and rescued 92 roosters and seized cash, fire guns and drugs. At the scene, authorities found 126 dead roosters.

In all, 102 people were counted in cockfights. The agents seized other materials used for the fights, such as 77 bags of leather to transport roosters, 320 spurs, 204 beers and 720 thousand colones.

Similarly, three firearms were found hidden in the place and a subject named Wright carried 100 grams of marijuana, 634 thousand colones and 20 dollars.

The Deputy Minister of Public Security, Juan José Andrade, called on citizens to report crimes.
