Police prepared for protest

February 25, 2014 by Staff News Writer

The various relief agencies unite to ensure that the march goes smoothly and does not affect the freedom of transit.

A total of 260 police officers and emergency workers will be on the street this morning to deal with a protest of public employees, planned to start between 9am and 10am. According to information provided by the unions, the march will start at Parque La Merced and continue to the Ministry of Finance.

A total of 80 transit officers will work the route of the protest and help control the flow of traffic. Traffic is expected to be especially difficult because of the protest and ongoing work to replace bridges on the Circunvalación.
