Police seized drugs from Nicaragua

Authorities seized 225 units of various drugs at border posts. The largest shipment was seized in Tablillas, Los Chiles, where the police seized 207 units from a Nicaraguan citizen.

A similar case occurred in Peñas Blancas post in La Cruz, Guanacaste, where another Nicaraguan citizen tried to avoid border controls, but the authorities discovered 18 units of illegal medicinal products.

Security Ministry officials have seized more than 11 thousand units of pharmaceutical products between January and May.

The articles were sent to the offices of the Ministry of Health in Los Chiles and La Cruz, where they were immediately destroyed.
