President Solís: “undesirable foreigners are leaving, and quickly”

May 18, 2017 by Staff News Writer

President Luis Guillermo Solis referred to the actions that will be taken with those he describes as “undesirable foreigners.”

Solis did not bite his tongue to assert that any foreigner who is in an irregular situation in the country, or who has a history and is connected to illicit businesses will be expelled immediately.

That was one of the orders given on Wednesday at the meeting with the country’s police authorities after the death of Elias Akl in front of Mount View School on Monday.

Although he did not specify the number of foreigners who are been investigated, he was emphatic in that once the irregularities are detected these people will be taken out of the country, regardless of their origin, and will not be allowed in ever again.

The president asked Minister of Security Gustavo Mata to prepare a report on the work done to solve this issue. He also urged legislators to speed up the discussion the on the project of extinction of domain, which “would help a lot” to be certain of the money “owned” by different groups.
