Presidential candidates are looking for votes

January 9, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Candidates from Partido de Liberación Nacional have three months to get the most votes for the internal convention that will take place in April: by doing so, some of them will fight for the presidency of the Republic.

That is why they are not wasting time. This weekend, candidates José María Figueres and Rolando González went to the South Zone and they almost met in their different activities: while the former president visited Buenos Aires, Corredores, Puerto Jiménez, Golfito and Osa, the legislator started his tour in Pérez Zeledón and continued to Golfito, Buenos Aires, Coto Brus and Corredores.

According to Figueres, the lack of jobs is the greatest need in this area and he assures that one of the solutions is the creation of the tourist circuit in order to take advantage of the nature and the environment of Costa Rica.

González, with his slogan “Sí a Costa Rica”, intends to surprise everyone since this voting process has focused on Figueres and Antonio Álvarez Desanti.

Even though Figueres and Gonzáles went South, Antonio Álvarez took the opportunity to stay in San José. He met his followers from Curridabat and Goicoechea.
