Procedures to get pensions presented by the Pension Board of the National Teachers’ Union (JUPEMA) used to last 7 months. However, nowadays, they only last 30 days.

Since April, members of JUPEMA has informed authorities about the delays.

They expressed some concerns over the number of pending cases, that were more than 2,500. Some of them had been delayed for over a year, when, according to the law, the process should last one month.

After the demonstration, a series of commitments were established to accelerate the procedures.
