PUSC legislator blames co-worker for PANI’s budget cut

December 5, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Legislator Humberto Vargas, from the Social Christian Unity Party (PUSC), blamed Rosibel Ramos (from the same party) for trimming ¢ 47 billion from the National Children’s Trust (PANI) for next year’s regular budget.

In a publication made on his Facebook profile, Vargas said the downgrade was led by Ramos, who has two daughters, and was a pupil of Mr. Rodolfo Piza R. (Possible pre-candidate for PUSC).

Vargas said that

The members of the Committee on Financial Affairs who signed the majority report, which cuts the budget to PANI, are guilty of signing an infamous and criminal report that violates the fundamental rights of children.”

The budget for 2017 was approved last Tuesday without receiving a vote in the first and second reading, after the quorum split in both sessions.
