“Quema de Judas” ended in pitched battle against police

Public security officials reported that three patrols were damaged after the burning of Judas.

According to the director of the Public Force and Deputy Minister of Security Juan José Andrade there are three people arrested for breaking windshields of different police units.

The incidents occurred in Parrita, Alajuela and Heredia. During Saturday, the Public Force had to employ 400 officers to monitor these activities that are characterized for causing disturbances in the national territory.

The police had to act in Parrita where there was vandalism against houses, schools and churches.
