May 21, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The National Emergency Commission (CNE) stated that on Sunday, 21 landslides were reported throughout the country and caused damage to housing and infrastructure, especially roads.

For example, in San Carlos, there were damages in the bases of a bridge, and the shelters of Barrio Corazón de Jesús and Coronado are still open.

The incidents occurred in San Ramón, San José, Golfito, Osa, Naranjo, Goicochea, Alajuela, León Cortés, Coronado, La Unión and Montes de Oca.

The National Meteorological Institute (IMN) estimates that the rains will continue in the national territory in the next few hours, especially in the Pacific and in the province of Guanacaste.
