The famous bullfight in Zapote is the activity that causes the most injuries among the participants.

This year, the Costa Rican Red Cross assisted 262 people from December 25th to January 2nd during its special operation. In total, 192 men and 70 women were treated.

The main causes of medical attention were trauma, scratches and other injuries. Of the total number of people served, 44 were transferred to a medical center for further care.
