Red Cross is asking an update of Health’s protocols

November 21, 2016 by Staff News Writer

After the death of former soccer player Gabriel Badilla in an athletic race on Sunday, the Red Cross called on the health authorities to update the protocols that must be followed in these events.

Those who assisted the former player denounced the lack of trained personnel for that kind of emergency, since there was no special equipment or personnel to perform resuscitation maneuvers, until the Red Cross arrived.

Social networks’ users have expressed concern regarding the lack of supervision and the necessary medical assistance deal with an emergency during massive events.
