Red taxis have a new app

November 9, 2018 by Staff News Writer

The new app developed by red taxis for transport services is called Taxi Shake and will start working next Monday. One of its features is that users will pay the driver directly.

To download the application, passengers only have to register and, after passing the verification, they can choose the point of origin and destination, the type of vehicle, details the person providing the service, see in real time where the driver is, call the driver to facilitate coordination and rate the service.

We hope we can have a community (of passengers and drivers) that by the simply belonging to this group can enjoy a series of important benefits such as: discounts, raffles, and prizes. Additionally, we will have other incentives such as maintenance raffles for the vehicle and others,”

explained Allen Chang, spokesperson for Taxi Shake.

Pablo MarĂn, from Publicity Media Works PMW, explained that several workshops were held with taxi drivers to familiarize them with the alternative and that drivers must pay $35 per month as of January 2019.

The rates are those established by the Public Services Regulatory Authority (ARESEP).

The app is now available for Android phones, while the iOS system will be enabled this weekend. Starting next Monday a call center will be able to give technical support to drivers and customers in general. Tel. 2289-0949.
