A vacant lot full of garbage, located in Desamparados de Dos Cercas, is now a recreational park that adults and children alike can enjoy .

Thanks to the alliance of private and public organizations, the residents of this community can now have fun in the green areas, the communal tables and in the playground for children.

Public/private partnerships are very important to recue spaces and it is not the first time that this happens. We witnessed the same effect with the beautiful park that was built last year in La Carpio community,”

said Victor Barrantes, Ministry of Justice and Peace.

The project involved the Ministry of Justice and Peace, the US Embassy, the Municipality of Desamparados, the community and private companies.

Dos Cercas Park is located opposite to the supermarket “Más y Más” in the broad street of Desamparados and it’s open to the entire community.
