Residents of Siquirres have no power due to fallen post

November 23, 2018 by Staff News Writer

A fallen a power line post of the Costa Rican Electricity Institute (ICE) left several residents of Siquirres without electric power service.

The incident occurred on Thursday at around noon, specifically on Route 10, about 20 meters from the bridge of that sector.

It seems the post collapsed because it is an old structure that could not stand its weight anymore. The Fire Department does not report people affected by this incident. Also, crews work to restore service.
