The Ombudsman is studying a complaint against the company Blue Flame Gas Fuel Technology, whose plant is located in Pozos de Santa Ana.
According to the complainant, identified as Rebeca Grynspan Klikier, the operation of the plant
could affect the safety and health of the people who travel through the area.”
Grynspan cites a report issued by the Fire Department on May 11th, which apparently indicates that “the company does not comply with the rules of human security and fire protection and fire detection system.”
The Ombudsman Office stated that the fact they are studying the complaint does not mean that it has accepted the facts set forth in it as the truth.
The complaint also claims that the plant has no environmental impact study to sell gas in bulk and cylinders.
Legislator Mario Redondo, from the Christian Democratic Alliance Party, also demanded explanations from the Minister of Health, Fernando Llorca.
Redondo sent a letter to the hierarch, asking what was the Ministry of Health doing, within the framework of its powers, to defend the safety of people working in the company and the people who live or pass close to it.
The legislator is aware that the company has the necessary permits to operate, for a recent construction of the gas station service. In addition, it has a license and a commercial patent.
In compliance with legal requirements to issue the building permit, the City of Santa Ana verified the basic requirements that human life or health are not at risk,”
said Gerardo Oviedo, mayor of Santa Ana.
The press tried to know the version of the company, but its representatives claim they were not aware of the complaint.
