Route 27 will be expanded!

January 19, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Driving on route 27 means an almost guaranteed traffic jam at any time of the day .

However, the National Concessions Council (CNC) has already realized it and conducted a study where it was determined that the road is saturated by 70%. The result of the study obliges the concessionaire to expand the route.

The agreement was reached in December 2016 by a commission made up of the Council, CONAVI, LANAMME, Architects Association, Geologists Association and the Chamber of Construction.

The National Concessions Council is waiting for Autopistas del Sol to present the formal proposal to the project.

From Sabana to Ciudad Colón there will be 3 lanes per direction. and from Ciudad Colón to Pozón, there will be 2 lanes per direction.

The project includes the expansion of bridges, drainage construction and other works.
