Sala IV orders paving for road in Cóbano

February 3, 2014 by Staff News Writer

Section between Cóbano and Black River.

National Roads Authority (Conavi) must pave the section of road between Cóbano and Río Negro in Puntarenas along Route 160, according to a ruling by the Constitutional Court. The regional director of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT), and municipal authorities have recognized the problem of dust in the sector in the past. The court said that the recognized problem is sufficient reason to require asphalting and that the state pay damages to those affected in the community.
