On Wednesday, the municipality of San José announced that they will celebrate two cultural events by the last week of January: the Chinese New Year and the electronic music festival called “Chepe Joven”.

The council scheduled a series of cultural activities to celebrate the Chinese New Year on January 28th.

For example, a gastronomic and cultural festival with artistic and sports activities was established in Chinatown.

We have a close relationship with China and this culture is already part of our cultural roots, so we want to celebrate the Chinese New Year,”

said Mayor Johnny Araya.

In addition, as reported by the entity, 20 thousand people are expected for the “Chepe Joven” festival, which will be held at Paseo Colón. The event will be held on January 29th for the fourth time.
