Security forces arrested 15 migrants on the northern border

August 15, 2016 by Staff News Writer

On Friday, a group of foreigners held a blockade on one of the border posts between Costa Rica and Nicaragua, a country that requires a visa for their admission.

Law enforcement officials were present at the place to seek cooperation and announce that limiting freedom of movement was not allowed.

As there was no response, the authorities had to intervene and regularized the transit in the area.

The result was the arrest of 15 foreigners, whose nationality is unknown, according the press office of the Ministry of Public Security.
