Seismic alert forces suspension of cementazo hearing

After a seismic alert, the entire building of the Courts of Goicoechea had to be evicted by disposition of the officials of the Judicial Power

The seismic alert occurred at about 3:21 pm, just when the appeal hearing for precautionary measures was held.

At the time of the hearing, attorney Francisco Dall ‘Annese rendered his position in defense of two of the arrested managers of the Bank of Costa Rica (BCR).

Fernando Vargas, attorney for Juan Carlos BolaƱos, explained that they would give an hour of time for the hearing to resume. Otherwise, they would continue on Wednesday.

According to OVSICORI, the quake was reported at 3:21 pm with a magnitude of 5.3 degrees and with an epicenter of 29 kilometers northwest of San Pedrillo de Osa.
