Senator Rubio claims Venezuelan minister bought Costa Rican property with drug money

March 4, 2019 by Staff News Writer

Marco Rubio, US senator for the State of Florida, said that Vladimir Padrino, Venezuela’s defense minister, bought a property in Costa Rica with money from drug trafficking.

On March 1st, Padrino published a kind of joke about the sanctions imposed by the United States on the regime Nicolás Maduro.

I’ve ordered sending the complete list of the general officers and admirals of the FANB to the US Treasury Department to facilitate the task of “sanctioning” the revolutionary defenders of the Constitution and national sovereignty,”

tweeted Padrino.

Rubio responded to that tweet with an accusation.

Vladimir Padrino don’t forget to include your girlfriend in Costa Rica and the ranch you bought her with the money she made from drug trafficking payments,”

replied the senator. The Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ) informed that it is already aware of this accusation, however, they cannot reveal anything else.
