Two officers of the security forces became heroes on Monday when they rescued an elderly woman and a 15-year-old boy, who were trapped in the flames inside their home in Hatillo.
Officers Cortés and Villareal heard the cries for help and they immediately entered the house. A few minutes later, they managed to locate a 67-year-old woman named Muñoz and the teenager.
Both the woman and the young man suffered respiratory problems from inhaling smoke, but now they are out of danger.
