Seniors at San Pedro Claver Home Need Your Help

May 28, 2017 by Staff News Writer

About 60 senior citizens need you to improve their quality of life at Hogar San Pedro Claver, which is located in Pavas. They need an elevator to move better inside the building.

Most people in this home were abandoned by their families, others suffer from a disability and taking them from one floor to another via a ramp is getting complicated.

Therefore, “The Banquet of Solidarity with the Elderly” will be celebrated this June 1st, aiming to raise funds for the construction of an eleveator.

Currently, a ramp is used to mobilize them from the first to the second floor, which requires a lot of effort and represents a risk for residents,”

said Sister Francisca Rosel Rivera, director of Hogar San Pedro Claver.

The activity will be held at the Costa Rica Country Club in Escazú, starting at 7:30 p.m. The entrance has a value of 50 thousand colones.
