Several people were injured due to the collapse of a bamboo bridge

On October 20th, a bamboo bridge collapsed and left 10 people injured in the facilities of the University of Costa Rica (UCR) in San Pedro.

Guillermo Montoya, from the Communications Area at the Fire Department, reported that the bridge was apparently overloaded and it caused the collapse.

Fire units went to the place and the affected ones had several wounds and fractures.

The incident occurred near the building of Social Sciences at the UCR.
