Signposting in Heredia and Moravia will conclude today

March 1, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The General Directorate of Traffic Engineering will conclude the road signposting on the National Route 117 today. This will take place between Los Angeles de Santo Domingo de Heredia and Moravia.

According to MOPT authorities, the final works scheduled for last Friday were delayed due to the coordination with Santo Domingo Municipal Aqueduct that required some works in the sector.

The signalposting of the National Route 117 includes road surface marking, placement of vertical signs and retroreflectors and it will require the total closure of the road from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, in both directions, on March 1st.

This will be in the 2-km stretch, between the intersection with National Route No. 32, passing through the ICE Substation in San Miguel de Santo Domingo de Heredia, to the intersection with National Route No. 116 in Los Angeles .

These efforts will improve road safety in the sector. Therefore, the Ministry requests users’ collaboration.
