Small seeds are health’s great allies

December 5, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Nuts are very rich in fats, fiber, vitamins and minerals that have a positive effect on the body, reduce inflammation and may even improve concentration.

Melania Cevo, from Consultas Nutrición, noted that they bring great health benefits, as long as you control the amount consumed.

Regular consumption of nuts can relieve many symptoms and improve health remarkably. Follow these 5 tips:

– Eat between one eighth and one third cup per day, preferably almonds or walnuts, as it improves intestinal transit.

– Nuts are helpful to moisturize the skin. One eighth cup a day contributes to a more moisturized and radiant skin.

– If you are pregnant, eat an eighth cup a day to improve the elasticity of the skin. It also provides vitamin E, vitamin A and calcium.

– Almonds and pecans are the most helpful in easing menstrual cycles. These nuts relieve premenstrual syndrome and slightly reduce inflammation. A quarter cup a day is recommended.
